Net Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen had a wonderful year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only one to achieve last table in three of the events. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may recall one of the largest pots in big stakes poker recorded history against Daniel Negreanu. He raked in a large pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has earned many televised poker appearances and is thought to be one of the best enthusiasts around the world. While betting on online poker, a different side of Hansen has appeared. Gus often participates in the 200/400 NL maximum buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen usually buys-in for the min of $16, 000 and plays very weak. He waits patiently for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I believe Hansen is a great poker player but not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is broke, he has little or no reason to settle at the game with the minimum buy-in.

Buying in for the min takes almost all of the ability out of deep stack poker. Gus is supposed to be one of the greatest players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the total amount. I think tv can alter our view of the real world at times. The best poker players in the world might just be guys you have will not have heard about. Gus can be seen betting on net poker on Full Tilt. He usually plays in big stakes omaha hi-low and texas holdem. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he use his talents in cash rounds?
