Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the western in a great game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete with other players. By competing against the dealer, new players don’t have to be concerned about other, more advanced individuals taking their money.
One more Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game pace, beginners will be able to take their time and plan while not needing to make hasty choices.
It is also much simpler to play for a long time with just a tiny bit of money seeing as, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the house is given 7 cards faces hidden.
One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand have to be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the dealer’s.
